Since we returned from Finland in May, we have played a decent amount
of shows this summer here in the States and in France. But as you might
know, we've been concentrating on recording our new CD "Here For A
Good Time" The CD is pretty much what the title says. We picked some
songs we'd played live for fun, and a couple of old songs I'd written a
while back that I thought should get the Skinny Molly treatment and a
second chance to be heard. I also wrote a few new ones, that I wound up
pretty happy with. Here For A Good Time is made for the finest bunch of
people in the world. Our fans! These are songs that you'll want to sing in
the shower and the car. At least I hope you do. :)
Although I probably say this every time I record a CD, I'm sure that
this time it's true; I've never put so much of me into a recording in my life.
It's taken 4 months of solid work; lots and lots of 12 to 14 hour days.
I'm not complaining. I love my job! I hope the hard work shows and that
you, dear reader, really like this CD! It's not as heavy or as dark as some
of the other things we have done, but it rocks. It's fun!
It's almost finished, and it will be ready in time
for our tour that begins in France on October 10, and will be available on
this site, but they will ship in November. If I can make it happen sooner,
I will. This is the last tour of our ten year anniversary year! We hope to see
you at a show! Check the tour page on this site!
Thanks!
